I picked up a Diana from Kirk a couple of months ago at a GREAT price (Thanks again!) and have the first shots back. They are pretty poor but then again that's what Diana's are all about.

Next time I'll wait for a brighter day and maybe use better film ... this roll was some Lucky that I got from eBay.

They can only get better Cheesy

I know the camera was level ... the lab must have scanned this one crooked ... I know they were bitching and complaining about the exposures and the film when I picked them up ...

They're not that bad, but I do like the first one;  the house looks creepy!   It looks like the pictures are divided in half by exposure or something.  What could that be from?  If Diana's are anything like Holga's, then you should try colour film next.  I've always gotten excellent results with 400 ISO colour film, like Fuji, and not very good results with B&W.  I don't know why that would be, but that's been my experience.

Keep trying, they'll get better.

I'll be in Victoria this June visiting my mom;  I'll have to check out that creepy house.

It's not that Dianas are like Holgas, It's more like Holgas are like Dianas Wink

Glad to see you using the camera.  The 1st jet one is great!

Here's a color one from that camera.....

You'll love it with color.

I'll try some colour next time Smiley

Nancy - The house is actually an old Masonic Lodge building out in Central Saanich. I'd be happy to give you the address if you would like to photograph it Cheesy

Is that a CF-86 Sabre?  CF-104 Starfighters had already supplanted them when my dad was in the RCAF. (late '60s)

Comox area?

I love the look of these cameras--very artistic.  Please post your next roll of color shots.

Hi Mike -

Not sure what the plane is. The jet and a tank are in the parking lot of the legion in Sidney Cheesy It was a very cold afternoon when I was out there. I'll try shooting them again when the weather warms up and I can feel my fingers.

I guess we do have it pretty good out here ... although it did snow one afternoon ... brought the city to a standstill for a few hours  Cheesy

The spring flowers are starting to bloom so I'll have to drag the Diana out and get some photos to brighten your LONG winter

Looks like an F-86 Saber. 20 years in the American Air Force and i saw alot of every kind.. I am going to shoot the air display at Fort Campbell this week if the weather holds with the Russian plastic camera and the Praktica 66. Many planes from WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Mostly large transports for the Paratroopers. so I will shoot them from all angles and then some.

Thanks Dan, I'd love the address of that lodge, I'll check it out when I'm out there in the summer.
