I finally got brave enough to try a flash exposure with my recently acquired Polaroid land Camera 320. I say brave enough because I have heard stories of blinding flashes, and exploding bulbs. My mother-in-law refused to be in the photo, but she offered to take it. I guess it was only fair to be the guinea pig for my own hobby.

664 film - B/W ASA100. Camera set to 75 ASA, exposure compensation 0. Subject to camera distance, about 7 feet.

Not as bad as I thought it might be, however I was not looking directly at the camera/flash (as the manual suggests) and I did notice the melted looking flash bulb......

Something you might try on the next one -- the 268 flash swivels to three positions, one straight on (what used to be called "flat flash") and one for ceiling bounce in each of portrait and landscape orientation.  The beauty here is that the automatic shutter compensates for the ceiling bounce -- it still just stays open until it has enough light -- so you don't have to do anything more than swivel the flash and fire away.  The advantage is that the light from above looks much more natural and completely avoids red-eye; additionally, you can get a little closer without burning out the image from too much light for the shutter to compensate.

I've got a couple shots that look pretty good from my 210 (apart from the focus issues that I have to get fixed sometime soon).
