Well, I've searched around for a thread, but didn't see anything like this one.

We're all here for one reason or another, but I'd imagine everyone of us has one thing in common....some cameras!!

And I'd also imagine there are quite a few of you with more sitting around than you could post up about, but I think it would be neat if we'd all post up some pics of our favorite and most used camera, and a little about them.

Here's my very bad pic I just took while I should have been doing the dishes

All my bodies are pictured with the exception of my Himatic 7 (shutter is stuck so its in a box from when I moved a few months back) and my Maxxum 7D, which was used to take the picture.

My main go to camera, that almost never leaves my side is the F1N.  Nothing feels more at home in my hands and there are times I'll use it exclusively all week long.

My QL17 is probably my next main camera for personal stuff.  This thing almost never leaves the car, unless its extremely cold out (like right now) or when its in my hands.  There have been far too many times I've had that "damnit I wish I had a camera right now," so now it goes where ever I go.  It's also served me on many backpacking trips in the smokie mountains, its just small enough to fit in my pack, and doesn't add alot of weight.

My next most used would be the Canon IIf ( I think it's a IIF, I might be wrong)  This, in many times along with the F1N are my street cameras, though.  Right now I've only have a Summarit 50(B&W) and a Jupiter 8 50(color), but I'm looking to pick up a few more LTM's here in the near future, and possible a Bessa R to pick up as my main backpacking rig.

The non-pictured 7D is my most used camera these days for personal color work and client work (unless they request slides, and then its just the 7).  Since I picked it up over the summer I find myself shooting less and less color film, unless its the roll housed in my QL17 for those emergency situations where I wasn't planning on shooting.  Though there are many times when I don't want to lung around the thing and pick up the QL17 instead.

the Maxxum 7 also gets alot of work when I'm doing wide angle b&w or color, as my favorite lens for that is my 15-30mm Sigma.

The ol Maxxum HTsi plus very rarely see's any action these days, unless it is on loan to my sister inlaw.  It was my first auto-focus SLR purchase a few years back, and at first saw tons of use, but that all but disapeared when I bought the 7 soon afterwards.  It does however see a good bit of backpacking use in the summer months when I've got the room in my pack and know I may be going somewhere that a zoom will be nice and handy.  I've got a couple cheap zooms that I picked up that aren't too large, and will handle most situations when out in the mountains.

The Olympus C-700UZ was my first digital I bought about 5 years ago.  It was originally purchased for a vacation I went on where I didn't have the luxury of hauling along my normal gear, as space was of the up most importance, and its just slightly smaller than the QL17 and will fit nicely into a coat pocket.  Since then it has become my "party" and snap shot camera when I don't trust bringing the expensive stuff (spilt beer and expensive cameras just doesn't seem like a good idea), and its 2megapixels is just enough for the stupid faces your drunk friends make at the yearly newyears eve bash.

The Yashica D is currently my only MF camera I own.  I've come close to purchasing more MF gear, but the 7D took most of that fund away at the time, and since I've moved to digital for most of my commercial work, I haven't had the need for it yet.  But this camera sees alot of use when I go on short hikes, or day long hikes when I bring the full boat load of gear along for every situation.

The newest thing I've picked up is the FT QL.  I just grabbed that with a second 50mm 1.8 a few days ago for $20.  I'm hoping to use it along side the F1 for photo outings in the mountains and other various excursions down town and the like, keeping one body loaded with color and the other with FP4+.  It was a little dirty, but a scotch bright pad and some mildly soapy water took everything right off.  However there is some fungus or mold growing in the view finder, and blocking part of the view.  If anyone knows how to take the view finder out and clean it, I'd love to hear how Smiley

You're a new member Jeremy (Welcome!)  But you must have missed the
photo where Gene M is standing in front of just a part of his collection.
Many of us have been compelled to remain silent  about our meager
collections - in humble awe in the presence of greatness.

My most used camera, a Gandolfi Traditional 7x5". For the occasion it has a Schneider 165mm f:6.8 Angulon on it.

Two nice little plate cameras - a Voigtländer Bergheil 9x12cm with 150mm f:4.5 Heliar, and a 6.5x9cm Voigtländer VAG with 105mm f:6.8 Voigtar.

Gene M is going to need Al Kaplan to do some 15mm panoramas of his gear Smiley  We saw part of the addic...collection recently in one of his postings.

that's obviously your old Calumet lensboard Craig judging by the size of the hole - did you get the lens mounted yet?

Gonna try to round it out that extra bit today, Mike. Thanks for reminding me. I still need to make a darkcloth as well, but waiting for student loan refund to arrive next week. Until then, I'm busted.

I just use a piece of black velvet my mom gave me - have plans to make something double lined, a little bigger, and white on the outside before spring.

You can even just throw your jacket over your head in a pinch.

Sure, sure... jacket's a good idea.

As for the lens, I swear I had a rat-tail file somewhere  in my tools, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Not a pressing matter, of course.

Hmmm.  I'm not quite as neat, but then these are all loaded and ready to go out the door.  You can't see the Minolta 16 II and Kiev 303, or the Balda Jubilette -- they're too small to show over the other stuff.  And the Bantam RF is almost hidden, too.  And of course the Olympus Pen EES-2 isn't in here -- it was wearing the flash for this shot!

Been meaning to take photos of my cameras for the insurance company. I have about a 100 usable and 20 display only plus some soaking in lighter fluid. Hmm this could be a project and I have 5 free rolls of Kodak 400CN to play with.

Thanks.

A somewhat large photo, so I'll just link to it. About 30 cameras -- give or take a dozen or two -- are missing. Actually, I want to add another cabinet.
