How are people feeling about the new forum?

Craig has done a lot of work on the migration.  I know he has a lot on his plate.  But this white on dark grey/black layout isn't working for me.  I find it hard to read and I'm beginning to move away because of it. (maybe some will be relieved LOL)  I don't think its the best for posted images either.

Opinions?

i don't mind the white on dark. i have a look at the other layouts available but i have always come back to the default.
i might change mine in the future for something different to look at but this point in time i is happy

You can select from about half a dozen 'themes' in your Profile. I'm using one with a pale blue background with black text: the SMF default, innstead of the forum default.

Yes, Mike, you can switch. I don't like white lettering on dark backgrounds either. I'm using a black-on-white version that is very crisp.

I don't think users had this option (of colours) with the old system.

OK I'm officially an idiot.  Who would have thought?

We'll try some other themes.

I tried Void for a day or two. Trying Transient now. A bit easier on the old eyeballs, so far.

Having a blond moment, Mike?

I'm glad I found this thread, I used the babylon and it's much better!  I will say that I liked the way that photos looked on the black background though....

There are several improvements.  I just discovered how much better the Search tool is now. No waiting for 30 seconds between searches. No minimum lengths.  Nice.
