Any off-chance that someone has been to Uppsala Sweden (or is from that part of the world)?

I'm going on Saturday for a training course and I'm staying for a full two weeks.  The city looks nice but I'm looking to do something interesting on the free weekend I have.  Stockholm is an option but maybe I'd have more fun off the beaten path.  Bike trip?

I'm going to bring my Rollei

I am from Sweden but lives some 550 kilometers north of Uppsala so the town is more something to pass on the way to Stockholm when going by car or train. I do not no so much of what Uppsala can offer but there is a nice museum railroad out into the countryside east of the town.

You will find "in English" in the middle of the site.

A bit further east of the end station you can find a number of old ironworks and mines.

And even more east, out in the Baltic sea you will find the most northern parts of the Stockholm
Archipelago.

I think that the landscape is very bicycle friendly.

You are quite far north.  I went to Turku Finland back in 2002 in May and I remember 23 hour days.  I got out of the bar one night at 3:00AM and there was still light out.  Very cool lighting for photography with the sun low on the horizon.

Yes, far north. But now starts a lovely season with no light all day and night.
Compensation for winter darkness. Still I´m living 500 km south of the polar circle.
