Hi Guys,

I couldn't resist this one. I have collected the Tokina made, Vivitar and Soligor branded, T4 interchangeable mount lenses over the past 15 years or so. I recently ran into this. Another Tokina made lens with interchangeable mounts. It's branded as Lentar Automount. It is not T4/TX as the adapter mounting differs. Aside from the fact that it is threaded, it is just like the T4 coupling system. I wonder if it is the missing link between T2 and T4. Do any of you have any experience or knowledge of this line? Thanks.

Soligor T4 on the left, Lentar Automount on the right.

Again, T4 left, Automount right.

Automount top, T4 Bottom.

Hi Bill

I've got a Soligor 300/5.5 just like the one you've shown on the left. I've tried it out on my Spotmatic and it seems like a really nice lens. I didn't realise it was made by Tokina. Now that I've got access to a Pentax digital I intend to try some bird photography with it (it's a 450mm equivalent on the digital body).

That's interesting what you've found with the different T mount. Mine is a T4 just like the one on the left - it came without the adapter, but I found a new, old stock one pretty inexpensively.
