I'd like to post a picture in a forum thread, but being digitally challenged I can't figure out how even though I've searched through all the forum instructions. Perhaps as a newbie I'm restricted from posting a pic, but I can't find the answer to that one either. Can someone help me out with a brief step-by-step guide? Many thanks.

Photos need to be stored somewhere else online.  A lot of members use Flickr but other services work as well.

Depending on the service you choose to store your photos, you'll need to get the url to the actual image.

Once done, return to Nelsonfoto and click on the "Insert Image" button in a new post or reply.  This will put the following bits in:

Code:
[img][/img]

Put the url between the two IMG commands.

Example:

Code:
[img]http://www.some-website.com/some-image-name.jpg[/img]

Hit "preview" to make sure the image shows up and then hit "post" when verified.

Thanks phule. As I said, I'm still digitally challenged (but learning).

Or, if you're a total digitard, (like myself) you stick the photos in PhotoBucket, then just copy the 'img code' and paste it here.

Charlie the Tuna sez: Photobucket is dead easy. So easy, even I can do it and I can barely understand how to turn the computer on. Oh, wait, the lightning fried it yesterday. Maybe that's why it won't turn on. Sad Sad Sad
