Yes they have... ever seen a Sony Mavica? Shoots straight to a 3.5 floppy and surprisingly good quality for a 640x480 jpg.

i used to use a sony mavica as my work camera. surprisingly good.i remember shooting a wedding....i ended up with pockets full of floppy disks.
but for what it was ...it was a very good quality camera.
i have to dig out a shot i took of a Spur winged plover that was swooping me...coz i was about to  step on their eggs.....watch this space....

Those have a cult following. Look at the ebay and goodwill auction sight and you will see that they go for outrageous amounts.

The Oly E-620 is also a really nice camera, with decent kit lenses and a sensible price (as sensible as any DSLR is anyway).  The best part of the E series though are the lenses - the 14-54 and 12-60 are just lovely (as is the 50-200).

Still, if you've got a bit of Pentax mount gear, the Pentax may make more sense.  Don't rule out the Samsung K20D clone though, which at least over here can be had for a lot less than the Pentax.
