Picked myself up a really nice Pony today @ the Thrift Stoe, Paid about twice for what it is worth,no case or flash.
  The shutter sounds nice and crisp and even, but @ what speed. Maybe sounds like about 60th sec?
   Then there is the exsposer values card on tne back, how does the numbers line up with f:stops?
The card is for Kodachrome Day Type film, what asa would that line up to {50 ASA?}
    I own 6 or 7 older Kodaks and I would like to load them all up with film and do a comparison of them , and maybe other older Arguses and such also.
   I don't know but it may be an age thing with me but I am having some problems getting good pictures with my manual SLRs lately?

I think the shutter speed when new was 1/125. The lens is excellent.

I believe Kodacrhome was ASA 10-12 back then.

A lot of older exposure meters from the 1950's though the 80's have EV scale numbers on the dial along with the ASA scale.

Well what the heck, I put a roll of film in it and found out it doesn't stop winding at frames, just keeps winding aloonnngg.
  And speaking of light meters, I bought one the sametime that I bought the camera--- and it works!!!
can't win them all I guess?

here is an interesting thread I put up on photo.net awhile back about the Kodak Pony 135 with some sample shots and some interesting discussion that followed about the quality that such a modest camera was capable of.

I had bought the Pony in a complete package of manual, bulbs, flash head, camera and case from a Antiques Mart south of Barrie Ontario for if my memroy serves $25.  the zone focusing was no problem.  in the thread there are shots followed by a kind of full scan zoom in section to show detail.   Pretty good results.

Sadly the cat in the shots passed away at age 17, he was my little zen master, the Sundance Kid
