i have been a great fan of using polarizing filters for some time now.
but i found this over on the Pentax forum

after reading that it would explain why occasionally i get some interesting and unexplained hues on some of my digital shots....occasionally i have known to buy a cheap Circ-Polarizer......
but having had no problems with the good linear Polarizers i own,  i might use those a little more often
