I tend to use one and only one camera for photography, even if I have lots of them. The rest, they are playthings- I do take pictures with them, but those are not my pictures. They are games.
My camera is my father's Contax. I dreamt about replacing it with that flashy Nikon S3 2000, but so far "close but no cigar". As I still haven't sorted the high speed capping, I smply use slow film and small apertures so I can keep shooting with the Contax- I am that stubborn about it.
BTW, I also have a snapshot camera, that being my Rollei 35.

Some people collect cars, some collects guns, and I just finished reading in an Arizona Highways magazine of a lady who collects gum. I struggled with your questions for many years. I look back at my 40 year involvement with photography and find the best times of my life are often (not always) associated with a camera. I counted yesterday and after selling off a few cameras I am down to fourteen. However, a little Nikon F3 just winked at me as I walked past her in a store. Oh, well.........

Well, some senior citizens such as myself join little groups of like thinkers that gather for coffee & donuts {or beer} hours to talk about the 'old' days. Anyways pretty soon I forget what stories are my own so it was time to move on. Back when I used to do the pawnshop route, but when the computer auctions took over the scene I moved to 2nd hand and thrift stores. Then some days I would ride my motorcycle to some of the small towns and look for stores, I scored pretty well sometimes, never bought anything that wouldn't fit into the saddlebag. I have cameras in drawers that I haven't seen in a year or so. Probably 8/10 SLRs {modern} 4/5 [older} . then I don't know how many P&Sers. Mostly Oly Epics & such. A couple of T-4s ., a few Keivs some Kodaks and some I can't think of right now. Oh and don't forget the MF stuff, from Argus to Rolliflex and Zeiss Ikons. Paid too much for some and very little for others and wouldn't know how to price them for sale. I wouldn't feel right selling them to friends for what they would be worth somewhere else. Most of the P&Sers were bought for under 5 bucks. I think I paid over 100 for one of my Rollieflexes, My computer crashed, but when I get it up and running again I plan on putting some up for sale here.

I think the first step for treating camera addiction is to get more empty drawers.

My wife and I attended the Veteran's memorial services yesterday and when it was over we 'visited' the Value Village just across the steet. She was shopping for some clothes and I looked over the cameras, I can't handle the 'honey, how does this look on me? Ends up if she decides she doesn't like it after getting it home it won't be my fault  So she had her basket loaded and ready to check out, found me by the camera corner. She made the comment how much she had saved on some 'brandnew' stuff as I was putting this camera back in the back and saying'I wouldn't mind buying this one'. Surprize surprize, She said go ahead and buy it then!, ---- I did. So now I own a Chinom CM 3 with 3 lense, motor drive and flash,oh, and a tabletop tripod ,all Chinon. Last night I mounted my Edixa-Travenar 1 3.5 135mm on it,really looks mean and ain't no lightweight either, with the motor drive and big lens it must be worth about #3. BTW-- even with the senior discount I may have given a little much for it :p
