Well, you have to join to see it, and I'd rather not join another forum where I have no business being (no large format cameras in my stable, and no plans for same), so Scott, why don't you just buy it and send it to me? I'll trust ya. Seriously, can you link a pic of what it looks like? Seems ZI made lots of different Continas. I found one on flickr that looks like this, is this it?:

Bah - they apparently have a 30-day rule on the For Sale forum. Gotta be a way to circumvent it...

I just sent the seller a PM expressing interest if the Contina is still available. We shall see....

So, James - any word? It now looks like someone else sent an earlier PM on it, so I was probably too late. But, I haven't heard from the seller.

I hope James does get it, because I need a Zeiss Ikon Contina like I need another hole in my head.

Well, I didn't get it. Hell, I didn't need it any more than Pete did, but it sure looked nice. Now I'll be able to afford a Bessa III 667 a little sooner .

But I got it. I needed another 4x5 lens between my 90mm and 150mm so couldn't pass up the $25 Rodenstock Ysarex (hell, the shutter should be worth more than that) and figured for $25 I might as well throw in the Contina. It should be a nice companion for my Contaflex III and the filters and hood should be interchangable.
Thanks Scott for the heads up.
