I  know this is a lowly camera for you collectors, but I have a feeling this badly listed Retina will go cheap - look for item 360233516255 in ecbay.

Hi Julio,
This is not a Retina I, is it? I have a Ib.

Hey Raid,
No, this is a Retina III Automatic. It recieves its "III" designation due to the presence of a rangefinder and a light meter. It's actually a very nice, very well made camera. It even has a really nice viewfinder, identical to the unit used in the Retina IIC/IIIC cameras (though only having a 45mm frameline). Shutter speeds only go down to 1/30, but otherwise, it's all anyone would really need in a classic rangefinder. Unfortunately, it is not a terribly valuable camera. The current price is fair... too much more and it'll be overpriced. I sold an excellent condition example with a nice leather case, fully functional including the shutter, meter, rangefinder, etc. and had difficulty getting the $60 I was asking. I ended selling it for about $50, and I had a good description and guaranteed the camera as fully working.

I also have and use an Auto III. Great lens, real classic 50s look. The meter still is accurate, and VF/RF is easy to clean..

There are currently two on ShopGoodwill

They've already garnered a fair bit of interest (relativley speaking).  Who knows what they'll go for.

It's like a virtual yardsale - and the REAL yardsale season is still a ways off.  Gotta get a fix somehow ;-)

You might want to change the title - Rectina doesn't sound very good.
