Great colors. Nikon has so many great lenses from the past. That's one thing that Canon really misses out on, though you can adapt lenses to their bodies fairly readily. But with Nikon, most of their top camera bodies can use lenses made back in the dark ages without any adapter, thanks to the F-mount bayonet.

Glad I never got into Canon there but when I do go Digital.. I know my lenses will fit... oh and with the lens in adapters I know my M42 and MD lenses will also fit.. if no metering I have a few meters and years of light eye to help.

I bought one ~1992 to go with a Nikon N8008s. Great macro capability as it works at the longer focal length. Much better feeling than the earlier 70~210 F4 aperture version. I still have mine, and have used it with the D1.

Carlos I think that they are all very good and that the first one is particularly beautiful.
I too have this very lens and it continues to surprise me with its clarity. It works very well as a portrait lens.

Jorn: I would like to know more about this. I'm thinking to buy a DSLR. Jason: Thanks you very much. LarryD: I would like to know about your experience with Canon DSLR and M42 adapters. Brian: It like to me that the only difference with the "D" version lens, it's his "slow AF". Dan: Thanks. I'm treating now with a CZJ 135/3.5. I let you know.

Larry, That it means that you use M42 lens in a Nikon Digital or film body with an adapter and you have focus at infinite and close?... Larry, that would be wonderful for me. I'm treating a Biotar 58 mm with an adapter in my F100 but I haven't focus at infinite. In close up and near it's perfect. Let me know, please. Carlos

No problem. If it is something strange I think I have found it.
