It is the Captain's fault, his flea market camera brought this about.
This is a Thrift store camera that I bought a long time{couple of years maybe?} ago and never tried it out, this is the first roll of film that I ever put through her. Heck, I didn't even know that it was a rangefinder camera till a couple of days ago:rolleyes:
BTW- THe camera that I have in my hands is a Retina IIb.

Beautiful old cars, thanks for sharing these Hudsons. It seems a very decent camera, Ron.

Before it is too late you should feed her a roll of Kodachrome and let her have a fine meal. Those are great shots there friend.

Thanks for the compliments, it is the camera, not me that gets the praise.
I took three cameras with me, a Minolta Maxxum 7000, a Kodak Retinette IIb and this one, a Retina Automatic III.
I was set up to take the 1st shot, distance set, meter numbers set and looked through the view finder. Guess what, its a rangefinder camera!----- Well, I'll be darned

Can't say I'm too sorry to have inspired you to shoot those! (:  Great photos!  I've put one roll through my Retina & I really like it.  Hopefully I'll get some time to scan them soon.

Ron,

Wonderful set of photos as an homage to Hudsons.  Remember them well, but never owned one.

Those Retinas are gems. Wish we had thrift shops in the area that had decent buys like so many members have in their areas. Yard sales were my goldmines, but they have been slim pickins for the last several years.

If they have cameras, they are nothing to write home about, nor bargains.

Once again, great shots, Ron.

Yes it has been many years since I have found anything other than Plastic P&S cameras but I have found a few electronic flash units this year.

Wow, these are gorgeous cars -- I LOVE the ones with the long, narrow, vertical grille.  Nice job, Ron!
