So now that I have a scanner, I'm planning on shooting conventional B&W again. I picked up 6 rolls of Acros at my LCS. While I may play with it in HC-110 as well, my primary developer is Diafine. Has anyone here used this combination? I'm thinking to start at an EI200 (based on the massive dev chart) at least initially but was wondering what experiance might be out there.

Picked up some FP4+ as well, but I've played with it before Smiley

Thanks!

William

I've tried this combo only once, and shot it at EI200.  Seemed fine.

FP4 at 250 works really well to.  Well, at least when the Diafine is working

I have been meaning to try this as I have a bunch of across that I picked up on sale recently. I was thinking of E.I. 160-200 with it. If anyone has results I would like to see them.
Thanks Larry

Well, the first roll I shot on a sunny day, yellow filter (lot's of fluffy clouds I wanted to bring out) & my hand held meter set to 100. With the filter factor, that should give about an EI of 200. I haven't dunked it yet as I'd like to have a second roll done first.

Cool I have a roll of it in a camera now so we will compare notes later. How is that scanner working?

Seems to be working great. I ran a couple of test scans just to make sure I was set up correctly. And I was, once I realized i had to take out that white thing from the cover :oops!: I posted one of the test scans in digital darkroom, I think.

I'll know more when I get the second roll done because I prefer to process two at a time with my stainless tank.
