One of the local events that takes place over the Labor Day weekend is apple picking. I never saw so many people at the Honey Pot Hill Orchards in the past 30 years that we have been picking and/or buying fruit at this orchard that has been run by the same family since 1923. One of the first in the country that offered pick your own apples.

Let's see what special event you have in your location!

N.B. I have no financial connection with Honey Pot Hill Orchards, we have just been long time customers.

I bet most people would not remember what a "Honey pot" was slang for these days. :-)

Well do you think the Economy has something to do with all those people Les?

 Nice capture there.

Larry,

We had the same thought. The huge crowds must be connected with tight times when folks just can't afford to travel too far. It's an ideal spot to take young kids and a genuine treat for people of all ages. It's in the heart of our apple region in Massachusettes.
