I have three lenses and they cost me nothing beyond the time to clean them up.  They're not great (scratches, fungus) but they're not too bad all round (clear glass, smooth focus and iris).

But no camera to go with.

The original Pentacon Six body had rusted to solid oxides.

Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar 80/2.8

CZJ S(onnar) 180/2.8

Meyer Orestegor 300/4

So what do I do ... sell the lenses, or find a cheap Kiev 60 to hang them on?  Wink

At least if you do get a body to go with the lenses, and find you don't want to keep it, it would be easier to resell with a lense or two to go with it.  And you get to find out if the lenses are really all right.  Nothing puts a bigger buzz-kill on photography than messed up lenses.  Unless you are going for the Holga look (not that that's a bad thing).

Well A Kiev 6c/s depending on what you want is most likely to be better than the Kiev 60 I may have an extra one with no lens so if you want PM me and make an offer as I know that both of the ones I have are working. I may even have a Pentacon 66. Seems I tend to collect too much sh-9it.

Thanks, Larry.  I have my eye on a Kiev 60 for about £20 plus £30 postage from Ireland, and that's the top limit for my budget.  Postage from the US would be a killer.

I have the problem in reverse. but I don't have a VAT just yet... but give Obama 2 more years... Smiley Thing is I would love to order a bunch of things from a few dealers in Germany but even small orders are not worth it. You would think that to enhance trade and push the economies that there would be a way around that for all of us.

C'mon, now...£30 for postage from the country next door?  That's about 55 bucks in US dollars, if not more!  I shipped a huge package to France last year and it cost me $60, and the damn thing weighed about 15 pounds.  A camera that's much lighter, shipped from here to Wales wouldn't cost nearly as much as what you're willing to pay to come from the Emerald Isle.

Shipping from the States could save you some money, Sandeha, plus you're looking at buying from a possible stranger now, as opposed to someone you know and can trust.  [chant] buy-from-Larry! buy-from-Larry! buy-from-Larry! buy-from-Larry![/chant]  Smiley
