Just got a screen saying database error when I posted in the Kodachrome thread. It said to go back and try again, although the post had apparently taken the first time.  Just thought I'd let you know.

Edit: Got it again posting this. "Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator. "
 though the post was saved.

Same problem for me and I am not getting notices of updates to threads through email. I checked all unread threads and 4 of them were ones I had set a notice on.

i have been getting the database error intermittently. i thought the problem was on my side
but it appears to be web related

I have started to receive some notifications now but not all still getting database error.

EDIT OK Database error is now intermittent.

Just catching this thread: There was a temporary outage or maintenance issue at the server farm. This does happen from time to time, but is generally short-lived. I almost alerted the syssy this last time, but it corrected before I pulled the trigger.

The error, if any was received, should have been a standard "could not connect to" type. Nothing wrong with the DB, no hacking issues, or other malicious activity.
