Something i have been pondering for some time.....
looking around in the world that i live in , what are the 4 or so colours that i have to work with primarily?
here is my list narrowed down
Striking Red earths, it's everywhere. red sand, red clay, red dust, red kangaroos etc etc
the Deepest Blue Sky
Green. Mostly the Muted greens of Australian Native Flora, in their thousands of different shades, but occasionally fat juicy rich greens.
and in summer.....everything is browny golden

So.....what are yours?

Here in Oregon it's gray a lot, and wet a lot, which makes it green. When the sun does come out it's glorious.

Beautiful images Kalle. Such beauty!

Kalle,

Very nice group of photos. They fit the topic like a comfortable shoe.

Santiago,

Like the photo and poem, a lot. But I question if there is supposed to be a redundant  "is no " (is no is no) or it it a typo? It can work both ways.

Pedantically yours,

Les

Hahaha! Les, I can see Mark not recognizing the song, but you should know better! That is The Monkees "Shades of grey", a very big hit- I don't know, maybe 40 years ago.  Of course, being the light-headed one I am now, I miss-typed it.

Mark, I am almost local to Portland. But I always go there in such a hurry that I've never been able to contact you. Have big regrets about that, and I promise the next time I will do my best to get in touch.

Santiago, no worries. Hope you do find the time to enjoy Portland when you are here. I love it!

The Monkees! I should have known. I saw them when I was 11 years old!
