My one remaining client from a former existence in IT is a used book seller. Sometimes his cash flow is such that I take payment in store credit. I did so today and found a nice copy of the classic Morgan and Lester volume.

The newest model covered is the Leica Model G - what we now call the IIIa - and is shown with the then new Summar 50/2 & Xenon 50/1.5 lenses.

It makes an interesting companion to my copy of Graphic Graflex Photography from 1948. The ads are a hoot as well.

And you turn it to a PDF and undercut the other million sellers on the internet. but nice find as a personal treasure. I just found a guy here who sold me 200 pounds of Pinto beans for $10. I think I made a great deal traveling 5 miles to get them. Smiley

There's already a free pdf of it out there. Nothing like holding a book though Cheesy

As for beans, my wife and son would make me iive outdoors if I came home with 200 lbs of them, if you know what I mean

Not if they were eating them too. I also just found 20 pounds of smoked hog jowl at 20 cents a pound. Into the freezer it went. I may not be friendly but I will have protein and not be hungry.

William, a couple of months ago I got the Leica Manual 1947 edition because it includes the IIIc.  Now, if I can only get around to sending the camera off to get the shutter repaired, I'll be in bidness!

I found my copy of the Graphlex book (8th Ed, 4th Printing, Oct 1950) for $6 at Givens Books in Salem, VA a couple months ago. I think there is another one in my storage locker, but haven't had the chance to get down there lately.
