Minox 35 GT flash

Does anyone have knowledge of flash triggering on these? I have a Minox 35 GT with a TC 35 flash. The flash fires properly with the test button, but won't fire on the body. How do you test to see if the body is completing the circuit? Or, is that the correct approach? Any help is appreciated.

Hmmm, let's see:
1. First of all, make sure that the flash makes good electrical contact in the center and sides of the hot shoe.
2. If you have an electrical circuit tester, you can test continuity between center and sides of the hot shoe. The circuit is normally open, it closes when firing the shutter (i.e. when shutter is fully open). A simple circuit with a battery and a LED or a lamp in series should also work as a tester, giving a blip of light when the shutter fires.
Let us know if this helps or post a few photos. It would be interesting to see the contacts in the flash and the Minox hot shoe in detail. Good luck!

Julio,
You have helped me track the problem down to the camera body. The hot shoe circuit remains open, even after the shutter is fired. Once in a great while, the circuit will close, firing the flash. There must be a sluggish/tarnished contact inside the body. I'm not going to go into the body without a service manual and I don't use flash anyway. It just annoyed me that it would not work. Thanks for your input and I'll put this project on hold. At least the camera itself is great to use. Thanks for your input.
