I may have posted something like this before, but I like the design of this one better.  Could easily make my own, so putting this up for all who want something to make.

Hey, Phil, I've posted (and made) something like this before, too -- this strap also works well with cameras made without strap lugs, but you'll need something that attaches to the tripod bushing.

I use the Strapbuddy - much better, and no great metal clip to damage your gear.

I thought of using the connector/swivel (minus the strap) from one of these (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/images150x150/561958.jpg), but decided to splurge on one of the Strapbuddy things recommended by Graham ($14.50 at Amazon.com).  Thanks, Graham.
