Larry,

Please don't stop now. I have been using Ilford's chromagenic films since their introduction, but I am planning  to return to traditional film and processing and your test results will save me a lot of time. I am particularly interested in your slow and medium speed film test results in diafine.

Thanks George. Well Slow and medium seems to be what I am shooting the most these days.

I've been meaning to ask you Larry what you use for the vitamin C?

Thanks Larry.  I thought that was what I read you saying before, but couldn't remember.

Okay, looked up the formula again, and that makes three tabs of the vitamin C (crushed?).  You answered someone else (I already forgot who) about the temp, but you didn't give him the time or agitation sequence.  Was that in an older post?

14 minutes as a start for all films it is not an exact science. :-) And what ever you use for your normal agitation is as good as the way I started and still use. Smiley Oh yes crushed and dissolved. Start with the Sodium Carbonate dissolve it then the Coffee then the C... stir and stir and stir.... Don't worry about a time limit I have mixed it and then used it 12 hours later.

Thanks again Larry.  I finally got some developing gear in this past week, and need to get the C and some distilled water, and I'll be good to go (oh, I'll need Hypo and Fix too).  Took some 620 film out of one of my relics, and want to see what is on it.  I happened to have an antique Kodak tank that was stuck closed, and had to take the hammer and screwdriver to it to get the lid and cap off, but it has an adjustable reel in it.  And I also got a dual 120 tank and reels.  Then once I get the V500 set up, no more wasting time and money at the photo shop.

Hypo is fixer. If you mean Hypo wash you don't need it I have never used it in 52 years. use Vinegar diluted to 1.5-2% for stop.

I really need to dig out the darkroom books Larry.  There is not much I have retained in the memory banks after twenty years of not doing any developing.  I feel like such a noob.  But I'll get over it.

Not only is it a good thing you are out there experimenting, I like the fact that you're finding new subjects.
