Waiting for the light

Been a while since I have submitted myself for a bit of input, and this forum doesn't seem to get much use anymore, so here goes.

I also belong to the Rangefinder Forum (RFf), with the handle of 'farlymac' if you happen to peruse by there.  They are having a small contest consisting of photos taken with a Soviet era rangefinder camera and lens (in the FSU section), and the parameters are three subjects: Landscape, Transportation, and Abstract, with three photos of each allowed.  Color or b&w, and Photoshopping is allowed.  Actually, it's kind of required, because the file size limit (200KB)forces you to run your scans through some kind of photo editor.  I did this set of pics before I knew about the size limit, and then when I redid them, I changed a couple of them to ones I really wanted to use the first time.  So here are the nine that I originally tried to submit, as they are on my Flickr site, and the ones I redid are still on the computer at home (since it was a direct upload, not through Flickr), and are of a lower quality resolution.

Abstract

Scenic

Transportation

These were all taken with a Zorki1 w/Industar-26M on either Ilford FP+ 100 (b&w), or Ferrania 100 (color).  I had some ruined shots because the I26M is very flair prone when pointed towards the light, and a shot or two were out of focus because I mis-read the rangefinder.

Abstract 1 was replaced with a different picture, and Abstract 2 was reworked to get rid of the tracks in the corner.  Scenic 3 was replaced with a shot about 90 degrees to the right of it, showing a thunderstorm running along the ridges.  It was just more dramatic, and had a black vulture in the view, so I titled it 'Thunder Buzzard'.

Let me know what you think.

I like "Transportation 1". Altogether, good work!

I also post sometimes in RFf but will not be taking part in the contest this year. Good luck with your entries!

Update: Here is a link to the gallery page, with my final entries.  Look for 'farlymac'.

Thanks Julio.  It's been pretty much open-ended so far, and they even extended the deadline for entries to the end of the month.  The ratings feature is working, but not sure if that is supposed to be part of the voting or not.

Ron, I'll have to get back with the owner about the years, but I'm thinking he said '36.  It is a one of a kind prototype, and was never given a serial number.  They sold it to an apple orchard in Pennsylvania, and the orchard owners never took it on the road.
