I got the camera from the 'bay, and shot a roll of Lucky 100 on Six-20 Camera Day this year, but not one of the images came out the way I'd expected.  I'd discovered after the 8th shot that the "I/B" switch had shifted to the middle position, which may have affected things somewhat.  Anyway, I decided that a 2nd roll was necessary, and when I saw a 1937 Ford V-8 sitting in a bank parking lot, I zipped back home, got a roll of efke 25 respooled onto a 620 spool, loaded it into the Brownie E, and went back to the spot.  I shot all 8 frames within 3 or 4 minutes.  I developed the film in Acufine at ISO 64, 4 min. @ 21° C.  Some contrast correction was necessary in Photoshop, as well as some judicious cropping.

Thanks, Rich -- I used the built-in yellow filter for that one.  The original scan came out pretty light, but the auto-contrast in Photoshop did it up well, I think.

Nice shots, Pete.  An appropriate subject for a vintage camera.

Thanks, James, I felt decidedly historic when I was there shooting the pictures.  Smiley

Thanks, Will, thanks, Phil -- the classic cars around here are few and far between, usually spotted when we're passing each other on the street, and I don't have a camera with me (or, as I could in this case, can't go home to get one).

Lovely.  I'm awaiting my envelope from Dwayne's with my 620 day results.  I hope for something this good.

Hi, Pete,

Good to see your post.  I like the results.  All the shots are sharp enough, but there is another quality that only seems attainable with retro cameras.  The images have a nice glow and extremely nice transition to the out-of-focus areas.  You make me want to dig out that Agfa you gave me last year.  Hmmm.

Thanks for posting,

Dennis

Reed & Dennis -- thank you!  Dennis, you should definitely break it out.  That Agfa's made in Germany, not Birmingham, NY, and as such is a higher quality product than its American cousin.

Reed, I look forward to your results.  Will you post them at the flickr group's pool?

Mighty fine photos there Pete!
I like frame number six the most. Love it when an old classic camera still makes great pictures.

Going back to get the extra roll was worth it. That old Ford is a treasure!
