Has anyone been using this CaptureOne software?  I've just spent a half hour poking around in it.

I had used the previous version for a little while before settling on PSE instead.

I found the editing screen a bit clunky, but the real power of the system was the batch RAW conversions. Canon users already have DPP, and Nikon users have Capture NX, but prior to Lightroom, there wasn't as much choice in RAW conversion for anyone else.

I've been trying to use my scanned film images. I'll try it with some RAW stuff from my Olympus E-P2.  Thanks.

I, too, just messed with it for a bit.  Yes, the interface is klunky.  It is more capable than Picasa, if you can figure out where to access the various functions.  I hate it when an operation is attached only to an icon and does not appear on any of the drop-down menus (maybe this is configurable).  I found levels and curves, but so far have not discovered how to save a file!  Don't think I'll have any use for it.

I did figure out how to 'export' a file.  It is on one of the icons, not on any of the pull-downs.

Oooo K.  Thanks. That's one of the things I needed to know. I was afraid to do anything permanent for fear of changing my original files. "Export" -- I'll look for that.
