Waiting for the light

I was in a dollar store one day, and they had a box of 30x20 inch foamboard.  I thought about it for a few seconds, and got four sheets.  Should have gotten more, but only had a few dollars on me.

Anyway, after it laid around for some time, I finally figured out what to do with at least one sheet.  I cut it into four pieces, two of them being 12x15, and the others 8x15.  Used clear shipping tape to put them together, and here is the result:

The lighting is all LED, with the exception of the incandescent overhead not seen in the photo.  Got all the little lights down at Northern Tool and Hardware (they used to be known as Northern Hydraulics), and will be going back for more, as the one clip-on torpedo is not as bright as the other.  I at first thought just a drained battery, but then the On-Off switches work just the oposite of each other, so I'm going with a quality control problem.

It makes for a very convenient place to take shots of my cameras for Flickr, and I can control the light quite nicely.  Don't have a b&w shot uploaded yet, but it does a good job.

Hey, very clever, Phil!  I am way behind on doing up new pics of some recent acquisitions, and I think part of the problem was I didn't have a nice place in which to do it.  I have some foam board here at the house, one of those things you collect with a grade-schooler who has the occasional assignment, and when foam board comes two-to-a-pack.  Smiley
