The Celeste team won the South American soccer Cup for the 15th. time last Sunday. Maybe more important, they defeated Argentina in a very close match in quarter finals. People went completely crazy after the final match. I got the Zorki-6 which had a Jupiter-12 mounted and went to the streets.

In the Rambla people were shouting, jumping and waving flags non-stop. When the semaphores stopped the traffic, people went into the street among the cars, then went back to the sidewalks, when the green lights came back.

The cars were also waving flags and working the horns. I liked this huge all-black, smoked windows SUV showing several flags, one national and two from the Peñarol team (one of them upside down).

A few more in the blog: http://julio1fer-mvd.blogspot.com/.

Film was a very underexposed Ilford Pan 400, developed in ID-11 1:1 and badly scanned in the minilab. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the comments! There was so much energy there.  To compensate the America Cup, we are now fighting to qualify in the Sub-20 world championship in Colombia - a draw with New Zealand today. Life is hard for Celeste fans.

Tell me about it!
We play Spain (I think tonight) after a horrible draw with Australia.....
