This is the p&s that broke the rules. Why can't you have a professional quality lens in a consumer camera? And like what the VR35 did for Kodak, it set the design standard for many Olympus models to come after it. Sleek, stylish, and sized just right, with a few extra features thrown in. I must have at least 8 or 10 Olys, some with 2.8 lenses and some with 3.5. The last one I got is the LImited, it has sort of a metal flake finihs and a 2.8 lens and in 'like new' condition. I also found 2 'like new Stylus's, a black one and a gold one, both have a zoom 35/70 and a 28/105. Ends up the flash doesn't work on the black one :p I used the gold one this week W/the 105mm. I got a few fair shots with it. When I finish putting my motorcycle back together I will post a few pics from it.

Ron, so far, I have picked up three other Oly's in my trips to Goodwill. Trip Junior(4.5/33mm), Trip 200 (31mm), and a Stylus Epic Zoom 170 (38/170mm) All Weather 10th Anniversary. Took the Epic out today for a tractor show, and they had a grand total of three tractors there (not counting the toy JD, and a couple of Cub Cadets). Good thing I only loaded a 24 shot roll.

PF,
I have that same model shown in your post. Actually, my wife, who has a very limited interest in photography, used it in her youth growing up in Japan. She has good taste, in cameras at least...
This is an interesting little write-up. Thanks.

Great shots, Ron! This isn't your back yard, is it? Seriously, this place seems to abound with photo possibilities.

No, this isn't my back yard James, but add a stack or two of old tires and a dead car or so and you got it! Just kidding? I carried an XA on my motorcycle for a long time. {which I lost  Then I came of age and started going to pawn shops till evil-bay took over. Then I found what I was missing,Thrift Stores !! Tons of plastic cameras, real cheap, and liking little Olys. I think on these pictures I was using 200 Fujifilm and the camera has a 2.8 lens. I like the way the color turned out, real saturated and vivid.

Yes, those are great shots Ron. I hope to get a regular Epic someday, but the Zoom 170 will have to do for now. I'll be posting some shots later.
