would the Nikon mount be compatible with manual focus Nikons like the Nikon F (I don't care about metering or autofocus of course)?

That's an interesting thought Murphy, because the release mentions a "Nikon AE" mount, and I don't know what kind that is, unless it's just a typo that hasn't been fixed.  Here is the best info I could find about Nikon mounts: http://ronhashiro.htohananet.com/photography/nikkor-mounts.html

But when you look at the list of camera compatability supplied by Samyang, they do list '35mm', 'APS-C', and '4/3'.

Wow That is like 4x the size of the MF 24mm I have with the Vivitar badge on it in Nikon mount.
