While I was cleaning spiderwebs today these dinner left overs caught my eye

Looks like the moulted skin of possibly a mayfly? I'm not sure the spider had anything to do with this...

Excellently done. But it's a mayfly molting, like Reed said. A spider would have wrapped it up for later snacking if it had been anywhere in the vicinity.
