I went to my cousin's and his wifes 50th last weekend so I loaded up the Retina IIF with 800 film, along with my OM1n W/400.I caught flak from the real photographer  for not having a flash, both cameras did well indoors without a flash. :p
I had a couple of frames left over so I went to the park and used them. Here is one of them.
Thanks for looking.

Beautiful picture, moving image.

Let real photographers do their thing with flash, we do ours in the dark.

Now for the rest of the story---
Deborah Copenhaver is the artist that created this sculpture, her father was Deb Copenhaver who was a world champion rodeo rider.
After he retired he opened a restaurant in Creston Wa. I used to stop there anytime I trucked through. His daughter used to wait tables there while she was still in high school. I had seen her dad work the rodeo and didn't realize it was him that ran the restaurant till she told me that her dad was a retired
bronc rider.
    Sort of surprized me when I seen her name on the sculpture,I haven't seen her in years. {40 +}

Fffftt.  If he was a "real" fertogerfer he'd know how to shoot without a flash.   :p

That's a nice shot of the memorial, Ron.  Looks good.
I wonder if the lady you mentioned did some of the other memorials.  We had one come through town
on its way to Lewiston a few years ago.  It was a bronze of a Viet Nam era GI holding a child, and a similar
style to the one you show us here, approximately life sized.  A very good work.

Very nice, Ron.  I love these threads that come with a story.

Flash is so overrated.  Just ask Apple.  No, wait, that's another story.

Very good work, Ron.  I'm surprised that 'real photographer' didn't also berate you for using an antique folder like the Retina!  Or maybe he was hiding his jealousy.

PF, the Retina IIF isn't a folder, here is a quicky shot I took of it.
It uses a battery[I think?] it has a cap on the bottom that looks like a batt.cover?
It is a rangefinder and the spot is fairly clear after I got used to it. It has a needle that has to be centered between marks which are sort of liberal, by teeter tootering the shutter speeds and 'f' stops.

Shoot Ron, I thought maybe it was a typo, seeing as the C and F are right next to each other on the keyboard.  I believe the F designator means it has a built in flash bulb holder, and the battery was for firing the bulb.  Have you shot using a hand-held meter to test the accuracy of the meter on the Retina?
