Nikon OneTouch Zoom 90

Okay, so I'm still looking for the best pocketable P&S camera with a wide-to-tele zoom, even though I keep telling myself they just distract me from my other cameras.  I had high hopes for the little Nikon, as it has a body just about the right size, given the range of the zoom lens (38-90mm).  It even has a decent Macro setting, but the camera as a whole doesn't come close to the Canon Sure Shot Zoom XL when it comes to operation, and image quality.  I also may be getting spoiled by my Contax and LTM lenses.

I also have collected many point & shoot cameras in search of the "best". As far as one with the wide to tele zoom, it would be the Canon Classic 120 for me.

The lens is a 38 to 120 zoom and the image quality is close to on par with your average SLR I think. My example was ten bucks on the evil auction site.

Charles, I can't see the photos right now, because I think NFf is doing some maintenance.  But I did win a Classic 120 Sunday on eBay, and it was $15.39 total.  Hope it works when it gets here.  From what I've heard from another owner, it should compare with the Sure Shot Zoom XL in image quality.  I wonder why they don't have a cult following like the Oly's?

Thanks again Charles.  It will interesting to see how it stacks up against the Olympus Accura View 90.  Of course, the Canon already has an advantage in the zoom department, but Matt's page mentions the noise it makes.  The Nikon was nice and quiet.
