Sure like that baseball shot, Larry. What a goodun. It's funny, in all my years I've never used Xtol. Used D76 1:1 for so very long, with Rodinal as my second favorite. PC-TEA and Acufine about rounded out my stores. One day a few years ago, I went wild and tried HC-110. Still a D76 man, but HC is very handy.
How long did you let this roll stand?

I got pretty big grain with my first attempt at semi-stand in Rodinal, but was pleased overall with the contrast. I like the baseball pic, too.
In my roll of Arista Premium 100 that I shot for Red Oktober (in my FED-2), I visited the boneyard and saw a grave decorated for Halloween. I thought that was very touching, that this young man's family would take the trouble to do it. There was even a trick-or-treat bucket by the plaque, with a beer in it!

Pete. I found that Tri-X is not the best film for this method.

Wasn't Tri-X, was Arista Premium 100.

Hmm I always thought Plus-X looked pretty good in it. Oh well we all have different experiences.

Wow those seem pretty contrasty for stand/semi stand.... If I got that on the first roll I would have gone to 1-200 on the next roll. Could also be the person who scanned them as I know you don't own a scanner.
