Last weekend was the "fall study break" for the undergrads at UM, so the grad students got a bit of a hiatus from schoolwork too. A friend from California happened to be visiting me in Ann Arbor, so we went to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village with another graduate student in the program and his wonderful family. All of us had a blast, each in our own ways. The history buffs (my friend from California, my PhD classmate, and myself) had a great time with the exhibits, and my friend's kids loved the cars, trains, and airplanes. I also brought along my 2.8C loaded with Tri-X and Acros 100, "the usual suspects." No orange filter used this time, as the sunlight was off and on that day, but the un-filtered film still produced some pretty good skies.

After I upload these, it's off to bed so I can start grading some more midterm exams in the morning.

It's hard not to find good subject material there, 'eh Joseph?  My favorite is the Edison's Lab chair, the way it's isolated from the background.  And being a former railroader, all the train shots are great too.

Excellent, Joe!  I've been experimenting with my Argoflex EF and would appreciate it if you took a look, the thread's in "The Classics".

Another very nice series, Joseph.  I have about 4 favorites, and can't decide among them.

You and 2.8 sure get around, Joseph.  Seems like everything you point at is magic.
All very good!

Another great series, and one of America's most significant industrial heritage sites. You are getting excellent results from that camera!

I believe this area was described in "Little Golden America" from Ilf and Petrov, the Soviet writers that toured the U.S. in 1935, but I can't find the reference now.
