So after reading about it for a while, I finally broke down and bought some Xtol developer.  It is some good sh1t, lemme tell you.  I've already developed three different brands of film in it: Legacy Pro 400, efke R25, and Fomapan 100.  Here's some of the efke R25, developed at ISO 50 in Xtol stock for 8 min. @ 20C:

This Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet is the newest display aircraft at the Naval Air Station.  Believe it or not, I shot all six pics without being harassed by the base cops.  Probably didn't know what that funny black box I was holding was for.  Smiley
