Waiting for the light

Took the Canon Sure Shot Classic 120 Caption (why did they have to put such long names on little cameras?) out for a spin a couple weeks ago to catch the last of the color.  It was a heavy frost that morning, and the camera shake was a little above normal, but I managed to get some decent shots.  A light industrial park that made for surprisingly good views, a stop by the main highway (US 460), and the Blue Ridge Parkway were the venues for these.  I've included the link at the bottom of the page for those who have not seen the full set, as I keep adding to it.  Film was Fuji Pro 160 (the reason for the camera shake).

Very nice work in that cattle scenery. The light was right in Morning Graze.

Thanks, Julio.  I was holding my hat to block the sun from glaring across the lens, and my bald spot didn't appreciate the cold.

Awesome shots Phil.  I like the first shot and the misty cattle shot.

Thanks, Jim and James.  I had to bump up the saturation just a touch in the first one, as I think the frost was holding back the colors.  The trees took it hard this year with the drought, and a lot of them aren't even changing before they drop.

Thanks, Carlos.  I saw that, and all I could think of was not screwing it up.  It is a classic scene.

I think that all of them are excellent shots, but I sort of favor the old car hiding in the barn.
