Well, we have had an amazing Christmas day (probably one of the best - the kids all sang tonight and I will just have to share some shots with you later.  When they sang Elton John's "Daniel" I was all over the place!).

There is a low off the coast, almost cyclonic (hurricane) and the seas are Huge.  Everyone has been out to look.

At Rainbow Bay (Snapper Rocks) I saw a guy with a 150 - 500 Sigma and a Swedish girl with a Cannon - that is not a misspelling (looked like it could lob a mortar).  There were massive lenses everywhere.  And there I was with my humble Nikkor 70-210 from the old F801 (N8008) days!  But on the D200 it gave a bit of reach.

this was the beach in front of our place Xmas morning

and I had the feeling that this might be acceptable to the members

even the Lifeguards were in the Xmas spirit

our daughter and son-in-law watching the big sets hit home

this bloke, with his hat, kept everyone (thousands!) enthralled - would he be able to get out or not!

one of our daughters is besotted with Harry - who is quite a dog

Hopefully, the lifeguards didn't have to make a run on the hatted one.  Amazing water shots.  Hope your day was all good and merry.

Wonderful shots, Dan,

It's good to hear that your Christmas was so happy.

Ann and I hiked the Alamo Trail at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.  I'll probably post some shots later.

Dan,

Great shots as usual. Those waves are impressive and so is the young lady bather for lfar gentler reasons.

Have no Christmas photos to show. Haven't put up a tree in years. We're spending a quiet day without any family members :-((
