Les and I have been in St. Augustine, FL for a a couple of weeks and went back yesterday to visit  Washington Oaks, our favorite park. The day was beautiful and so was the joy of taking pictures. Here are a few of them.

Very nice, Claudia.  Shorts and blooming roses: not like Framingham, eh?

Lovely photos, Claudia.  Was Les photographing some interesting bird poop patterns?

I like the first photo the most, Claudia. All of the images look great.
There is no way that Les can produce any better images than you!  [challenging Les]

Bravo Claudia!  I love the roses, which are difficult subjects to photograph without getting the colour over saturated.  You have them just right.

James, Phil, Raid, Graham and Open Waters,

Thank you all for your individual comments and interest in my photos.

James,

Glad you like them. As of tomorrow, we'll be here one month; 1/3 of our winter escape is over. April can be very cold and snow is not rare.

Phil,

Thanks for the compliment. Lester will add to this post what he was photographing. It's quite different from what you guessed.

Raid,

Lester was my mentor in art and photography, but sometimes the student can give their teacher a little competition, which he always encouraged.  Thanks for your strong support.

Graham,

I have nothing to do with the digital processing of my photos, but I do supervise the cropping and adjustment to tone's intensity and color saturation. For the rose, there was no adjustment other than cropping and size.

Open Water,

The first one is my favorite, too.

Claudia,

Raid makes an excellent point. My dear Claudia, you are a fine example of a student who has leaned the basics thoroughly and has raised the bar to excel in many ways, where your imagination and drive to experiment far exceeds my limits.

Phil,

I would certainly photograph an interesting composition of bird droppings, but in this case it was something else all together. What I was photographing I've seen many times, in divers lovely settings, but this time it moved me so much I plan to follow in this admirable tradition. Claudia agrees and we picked the spot.

Oh, that's far better than what I thought, Les.
