OK  Here is a roll in Rodinal 1-100 full stand. About what I would expect of an ISO 400 film in Rodinal.

Those photos really stand out; nice tone and contrast.  They seem exceptionally smooth for a 400 speed film--maybe that's your special magic.  Am I right that Orwo was an East German manufacture?  are they still in business?

Update #2 Xtol

OK Xtol 1-1 I went with 11 minutes and feel I should back off a little so next roll is 10 but I have a feeling the sweet spot is between 10 and 11.

Larry, you've done some nice stuff with this ORWO film!  Are you doing your own experiments, or are you basing it on existing information?

That photographer with the box camera has man's hands and wimmen's feets. :?

All on my own. No one has posted much on it so I am doing it by getting close by looking at similar films and then working in that area...  After the 400 test then I will do the 200-250 where I believe this film is most likely to be true at.

OK Acufine test 1. A little thin at 5 minutes so next roll gets a little longer.

Oh Lord Fit city. I did the first roll at 5 minutes and felt that was not long enough. Well 5.5 minutes is too long for E.I 400. Maybe I had a thermometer error as I am not used to short times in developing. I have another roll I shot today so I will go back to 5 minutes for it ..... Oh the fun of testing a film with no instructions.

Those look good in the web. 5 minutes is kind of edgy for me. Too short.
