The compact Sears Auto | 35 appears to be a variant of the Ricoh Hi-Color 35 from the late 1960s. It has a Rikenon 2.8/35mm lens. It is like a slimmer LOMO 135, and (from behind) bears a slight resemblance to a Rollei 35. (Stop laughing.) Unlike the utterly unreliable LOMO 135, this camera seems to have a completely reliable spring wind mechanism. It also has a program auto feature, as well as full manual (2.8 to 22; shutter speeds B, 30, 60, 125 and 300.)
The diaphraghm is maybe three pieces, and the iris is a triangular shape.
I found this camera easy to use and carry around. At 35mm, it takes in a wide field of view, which however I am not completely at ease with as I like to get in closer with 50mm.
Here are the results, from a roll shot on a fairly gloomy and overcast day.
