Next on the repair bench.  I actually ran a test roll with this
one, just for kicks.

Laser beam butt.

It's a beautiful camera, but I think it needs new curtains....

Ooh nasty... and that's indoors, imagine what would happen outside! I started dabbing paint on the pinholes in my Pentacon F curtains the other night before I realised there were too many, so I snapped & did a replacement (#2 - the material I used the first time was sub-standard, doh!).

Nahh...masking tape was good enuf fer yer Pax.  But a camera like this Exakta VX IIa deserves an upgrade to electricians tape.  Nuttin but the best, I always say.

Yes Wayne, it's pretty much sunshine and blue sky coming through that curtain.  It's a beautiful camera though.  Just needs a CLA and the curtain and it'll be ready for another half century.  I hope it gets used when it goes back to it's home.  Quite the machine.

That's a shutter curtain?????
There's somebody on ebay selling Japanese electrical tape for fixing light leaks in Holgas. 6.50 a roll, plus shipping. You might want to look into that. At 6.50+, it's gotta be good stuff. HAR!

Maybe it's just me, but I like "Laser beam butt". I think the highlighting is what makes that picture.

Well, I haven't got to the hard part yet, Jorn.  Eventually it has to look like a camera, (and even work like a camera) again Smiley .  The cool part is I get to shoot 'em before I send them back.  Joy.
