Hi Guys - I just got a 180 from a less than honest eBayer    ... The shutter and lens needs some work. I've been able to get into the backside of the lens assy. to clean out the shutter but now I need into the front to look at the aperture mechanism ... How do I get in there? I've tried unscrewing the black "Tominon" ring with a rubber bung but it won't budge. Any ideas??

I'm stumped on this one Smiley

TIA

If that's set up even a little like my 350, you might have to remove the entire front facia from the shutter housing to get the front element off.  It's probably simpler, however, to split the housing (likely with four screws on the back corners).  Can't begin to tell you what to watch out for after you do, though; those things are completely unlike the electronic shutter models in terms of what's under the hood.

Aaaah, excellent.  That's one of the Polaroids that'll be worth converting to ANSI holders when Polaroid finally drops pack film (which might turn out to be quite a while yet).
