It has occurred to me that quite a few of us have children who have shown an interest in photography, my son included. So, I propose we start a project, wherein any of our children who take any photos can post them, and show others what they've done. I think it would be fun for the kids and interesting for the adults, it would give us a chance to see through their eyes.
Of course there would be no digital allowed, strictly classics or near-classics.
Craig, it's your site; what do you think?

Hmmm... good idea, but I don't see why digital should be prohibited : first, it's not a classic cameras forum ; second, digital is great for parents who wish they teached their kids how to make a good shot from time to time, but who are not Mr and Mrs Goldfinger.
My 8 years old son has taken some not too bad things, but they're digital pictures - I'm not ready to loan my Contax IIa to him yet :?

Nancy, I say the concept is fine. I do disagree with the classics-only idea, however. I think kids should be encouraged to shoot anything they can get their hands on, regardless of format.

OK, OK, I guess the no digital rule was a bad idea. Aside from that, I still think it will be fun, no?

I started this with a couple of my Grandaughters in high school, and also a Cub Scout thing with a Grandson. I offered the Scouts some P&Ss.
The high school classes went well. The Cubs didn't go that well. They leaned to Dig. I guess to see immediate results. I can understand this.
The High school furnished B&W film, plus some really beat up Rebels.
I offered to let my girls use a couple of mine but the teacher said no as he didn't want to be responsible for my gear. I think he was just backing off because he didn't know squat about cameras.
I was going to let them use a Ricoh and an A-1 Canon. Both are in good working condition but with rough exteriors.
Cheers
Ron B
BTW -- Both my Grandkids use my Nicon 4300. No film cameras for them, and I'll have to admit, I'm saving money, but I hope they realize , pictures are pictures, but photographs are forever.

My opinion ... fwiw ... a kid's korner sounds like a truly great idea.
But no digi? That won't swim. Can't be ...
I used to hold photography groups at the last school and college where I worked. The 18-22 yr-old group were passionately into film; one of them even turned up with a mouldy AE-1. But the 14-16 group all had digis.
