Hi ya'll. Still kicking, still ticking. Have little time for photography at this time, but will get back in at the earliest opportunity. Dipping in and out of this site like a thief--as time permits. Bye.

Ok. I have an odd perspective on time... suddenly come to and realize I haven't see/heard or otherwise of certain people for too long.

Thanks for asking, Craig.

I've become a hermit, but not by choice. It's that high barrier of cameras that prevent me from getting out of doors or over to my laptop. But there's a way out. Sending back cameras to people who gave them to me is a good start:  I've already sent Mike Elek back his Ikomat 520; George B. his  Perkeo 1, and there are Mike Kovacs' Ikonta 520 and you m'lord, CE, your  6x9 Nettar about ready to be put into boxes.

Then I'll list on FS/FT forum mainly for trade for one or two items all but the essential two dozen. I'm joking about that amount, but I'll try to limit what I keep down to a handful. Or at worst, two handfuls. Got to post a list pronto.

New gals in the harem are: The Konica Auto S2 wih the seized speed band is repaired and is a beauty. Long lost Fed 2 that made two round trips from Russia finally arrived and is in the 'Perfect' condition the seller claimed. And that cheap Minolta Hi-matic 7s your recommended CE, is in tip top shape except for a hazy viewfinder. Need tip on that: can the bezel be removed from the back and the vf cleaned without taking the top cover off? Wishful thinking! That was the $9 Hi-matic 7s with original leather case. Works like a charm when the subject is visible.

Now that you see and remember how much I write in my comments, maybe you'll reconsider waking an old bear in his den, especially one whose sense of seasons is way off for hibernating.

Will post some pics soon. Cheesy

Hey Les, did you finish the roll in the Ikoflex? I'm curious to see how the Novar performs.

Mike Elek;

OOOPs!  It must be my cabin fever that's affecting my memory, couldn't possibly be my diminished count of grey cells, could it? I'll clarify for others what the reference to an Ikoflek is all about.  I should have corrected my harem ledger to read one Ikomat 520 out, one Ikoflex 1A in.

The answer Mike is I'm all the way up to the 3rd exposure at the gate. BTW the Contessa and the Ikoflex are getting to be very close friends, but there is a little jealousy. I'll have to take them both out for a walk and have a Tessar and Novar contest. For a handicap, the Tessar willl be @ 35mm and the Novar @ 6x6cm. For the handicappers, the 35mm will be APX 100 and the 6x6 will be FP4+. Will it be a photo finish? We'll see; I'll publish the results.

Man, I'm here. I have just been busy, that's all!  I have been shooting with my Exa  -- in fact finished off a roll today.  I'm going up N next weekend, so I will probably bring my Diana, Minolta X-700, and Mamyia 645E.
