The last few PMs I've sent end up in my Outbox, but don't ever get to my Sentbox.  Are they actually being sent?  I am, confused...

Once the person you sent it to has opened the PM, it will move from your Out to Sent.

One of the problems I do note with the phpbb PM system is that if you have new messages in your inbox but only view one, the others will subsequently show as no longer new after you log out, nor will your message alert in the top right corner indicate any new messages after merely viewing your inbox. It might even allow for a recipient to delete a message without reading it and without triggering the Out>Sent move in your folders. Not certain.

Not a perfect system for sure.
