I never thought I would have one someday. You know, that piece of heavy (very heavy actually) chrome plated brass and glass which is the fantasm of any Contax RF user. Fantasm because it's $$$ and sometimes even $$$$. Well. A so-so listing on the auction site, with a typo in the title, and fuzzy photos, so that it ended at about half the usual price of the beast, and with some bonus (a camera body for repair, and a more than decent CZ standard lens). And in German only, even though it was not exactly located in Germany. You know, what's not seen by collectors unless they try many keywords to find what they search. Well. This time they didn't.
Look at it.
Got it today, got that viewfinder last week, got that camera two months ago (and overhauled it since), some photos to be shot asap - no excuse now.

Mike, Looking at your post time (tomorrow to me) I'm trying to figure out what part of Canada is three hours ahead of American EST. You somewhere east of Halifax? On a boat maybe?

Oh yeah-duh! Looking at my own post time I guess it's GMT or Zulu or whatever they are calling it. Too lazy for me to reread the fine print here. Pls disregard.

Tom, if you set your profile with the correct zone, you'll see all posts in your own zone and (at least prior to Congress fiddling with daylight time this year) correct DST correction, instead of in GMT.

Congrats Nicolas! I'm very happy for you. Let's see some more of your lovely photos, real soon. My computer problems are finally solved and now I can get back to taking photos, again. I've got some new cameras to play with: Konica Auto S2 and Ikoflex 1A and Minolta Hi-matic 7s.

Thanks Lestaire. BTW the nice Kern-Paillard little leather case you gave me is a perfect match for the turret finder you see on these photos

Nicolas, Welcome to the club of those who "have it"! It doesn't make us any better photogs, just more careful when mounting lenses....yesterday you might have dropped a $200 piece of glass, today you might drop something the value of which is a good chunk of your monthly wages! Enjoy it, it's one of the great lenses. let us know when you find the topogon Marco

Oh, no Topogon, that's well enough for me now !
About dropping... do you think I should now invest $$$ in a Contax leather case recently put for sale on the market by our common friend AKA Il Pescivendolo ?

Problem with the Topogon is that you'll also need the finder with the 25 as well as your 21 finder!
