You bet! It's actually pretty cool, too. Too bad I can't scan it. Technically, everything in the world is wrong with the print. Sharp, unsharp, varying degrees of density, ad infinitum. In a nutshell, it looks kinda old fashioned and definitely artsy-fartsy. I wanted a large print to fill a blank wall space left after my latest remodel job. This is IT! Not only that, the picture is of a historic  structure that was torn down this summer due to lack of interest. Later, I'll make a 5X7 print that I can scan. I wish you could see this one, though.

Aha! The thought never occured to me. It couldn't be any worse then what I get out of that scanner.
I really didn't think I would get anything usable from that negative. It sure wouldn't scan. I tried. That was the worst looking mess I ever made. It even looked terrible under a loupe. It really surprised me that it looks as good as it does, blown up so big. With some dodging and burning, it would look more "technically correct" but I like it just the way it is. Funky. I'll try to snap it tomorrow. Right now, the prints are under a press drying flat. I hope.

Yowsa, it is. I made a extra print for you, too, seeins it were your camera. Being a railroad junkie, I thought you might appreciate it. It's a shot of the U.P.R.R. Oregon Short Line depot that was at Sage, Wyoming. To see a color version, look in my shots from the travelling Ansco ShurFlash. That one is actually a better picture in some respects but this B&W is just kinda cool.

HEY, NancyB! Have you had a chance to shoot that jewel/pig yet?
I got a couple of shots from it that surprised me, too.
THANKS Glenn, I still have wall space. Smiley

OK, here's a snap from my free promotional give-away digicrappy. Not much better than my stinky scanning, but you get the idea.

Carmack, don't drool on ye monitor. Smiley

Pretty neat.  I'm not surprised, though, having wielded the same camera.  I've been thinking of doing some big ones from my box cameras.

Yep, a Clack is a pretty darned good camera, given its limitations.  I'm always impressed by them.

Thanks, guys. Fine art it ain't and one of them "photo critics" from some of the other sites would tear the thing to pieces. I  like it. It has "character", just like the rusty old tin can that took it. Technical jargon: Agfa Clack, Kodak Verichrome Pan, D=76 1:1, K2 yellow filter. Ilford MG Warm Tone FB, Really ancient brown Dektol 1:2, Ilford Rapid Fixer. I really think the yellow filter was a mistake. I think it knocked off a lot of sharpness. Not sure, but it should have done better. I wanted those clouds to show up but VP usually shows 'em up pretty good with no filter.  Lessons learned, eh?

Great looking shot Glenn, and all the more significant now if the building is gone. The Clack is a beast not to be underestimated!

Wayne, the building is now just a pile of splinters. It's on a National Wildlife Refuge outside of town. The Fish and Wildlife Service tried to give it to numerous organizations but no one would take it. It had to go. It auctioned off to someone over in Idaho for salvage. Very sad.
More history lost.

History well documented I'd say.
