What do you think?

Tech:
Canon Elan 7N, 28-105mm f3.5-f4.5, 430ex (FEC @ -0.5), Ilford fp4+ @ ASA 125. Developed by the book in Ilfosol S (1+9, 6.5 min. @ 20 degrees C)

Our friends were looking for a few photos, and we were looking for some electrical advice (he - our friend - is an electrician) so our wives arranged a swap of services.

We went to the local park so see if there was anything interesting left of fall as a backdrop. The little girl does not like to stay still and doesn't really smile - serious type. I was lucky to get anything of her.

I learned that ASA 125 is a little slow for afternoon light in October in the woods! - these were taken @ about 85mm FL @ 1/30 sec. I was lying on the ground using my elbows as a 'tripod' (I am glad it turned out). I also learned that in harsher light the flash FEC @ -0.5 doesn't fill in the shadows as much as I would have liked - I will refrain from adjusting the flash output next time.

I shot a roll of FP4+ , 8 frames of PanF (to finish a roll), and a colour roll.

Nice shots, Andre but a little flat for my taste.  The flash is actually doing the main lighting, and the ambient is fill - with both closely balanced.  I would also crop a little tighter.

Andre

These are really nice shots - I can't help but wonder how they would look with a bit of my hand painting?  Would you mind if I tried my hand?

Wonderful but would be stronger cropped tighter. Can you do it over? If so try to get  closer to the kids. You're on the right track Smiley

I like these a lot.  I only don't really like the foreground being blurred to much.  As Xenotar said, try to get closer Wink
